TEQUIL
FROM FERTENIA RESEARCH THE IDEAL SOLUTION IN THE PRESENCE OF NEMATODES IN THE SOIL
The result of research in the field of plant-derived substances, TEQUIL® is the name of a concentrated blend of plant extracts (Quillaja saponaria Mol., Algas pardas gen. Ecklonia...).
It promotes the development of the root system of plants allowing the overcoming of particular stress phases caused by soil fatigue and by parasites of the telluric biosphere (nematodes
and pathogenic fungi). Its fortifying activity of the root system is attributed to a synergy between saponins and other active constituents (tannins, polyphenols and terpenes).
Saponins, in fact, have a recognized activity in increasing the permeability of the cell wall, so they are extremely important in promoting root absorption even in unfavorable soil and climatic conditions.
TEQUIL®, thanks to its constituents, has an auxin-like action capable of favoring the emission of new roots and the elongation of existing ones. Regular use of TEQUIL® allows for production increases.
:: EFFECTS AND ADVANTAGES
• Fortify and invigorate the root system
• Stimulate the development and release of new roots and promote the extension of existing ones (auxino-similar action)
• Bring about significant increases in production with proven effectivenes
• Usable throughout the vegetative cycle
•Ideal for synergistic use with nematicides or as a supplement to other environmentally friendly techniques
(Solarisation - Steam sterilisation - Nematode-tolerant rootstocks ... )
• Determines important increases in production
:: EFFECTIVENESS OF TEQUIL AND SCIENTIFIC STUDIES
Due to its specific composition based on selected plant extracts, TEQUIL® is rich in specific saponins, tannins, polyphenols and a large group of glucosides, capable of invigorating and strengthening the root system, making it more resistant to attacks by parasites of the telluric rhizosphere (SOIL NEMATODES AND FUNGI). Saponins, in particular, exert an immediate biostimulating action on the root system, encouraging the rapid emission of new roots and the elongation of existing ones (auxin-like action).
They also have a recognised activity in increasing cell wall permeability, so they are extremely important in promoting root uptake even in unfavourable soil and climate conditions.
The scientific community has shown great interest in studying TEQUIL® by carrying out numerous in vitro (Univ. of Naples) and field trials
(Reg. of Emilia Romagna, CNR Bari, Univ. of Naples). Overall, the technical responses showed significant increases in production due to the biostimulant effect, even when nematode control played a more marginal role.

:: HOW AND WHEN TO USE TEQUIL?
TEQUIL® is a particularly technical product, therefore it must be applied in relation to the crop, its cycle, its vegetative stage and any physiopathic and phytosanitary problems. It is important that the intervention is carried out when the stressful situations, especially nematological, have not already strongly compromised the vegetational state of the crops (in this case the intervention would be completely useless as even the biostimulation of the plants would be canceled). In case of concomitant strong attacks of root-knot nematodes, mainly in sandy soils and with high soil temperatures (the ideal ones for the development of M. incognita are about 28-30 ° C) it is necessary to carry out an intervention with a synthetic nematocide (respecting dosages and deficiency times in pre-transplantation) and, especially in medium-long cycle crops (over 3 months), carry out a second post-transplant operation with TEQUIL®only.
We also recommend a further application at the beginning of flowering, to maintain healthy and vigorous crops from the early stages of growth, making sure that the solution remains (avoiding leaching) in the area explored by the root system. The interventions must be carried out, if possible, with Drip irrigation systems with self-compensating dripping wings and can be repeated (if necessary) at reduced dosages.
TEQUIL® can be distributed in all phases of the vegetative cycle.
The doses of use vary from 15 to 60 L/ha depending on the crop cycle of each species (short, medium or long), with single or split applications (eg L. 15 + 15 + 15).
Bath of the plants in the plateau: L 2 / hl. Float system: 10-15 L / 1000 m². USE IN POST-FUMIGATION-SOLARISATION 2,0 L / 1000 m².
DOSES AND METHODS OF USE | |
IRRIGATION | |
4 - 6 L/1000 m² in one go or in several instalments (e.g. 2 L+2+2). The life cycle of Meloidogyne and other common nematodes in soils is about 30 days. This requires keeping the root system strengthened and vigorous by applying TEQUIL every 15-30 days according to the crop cycle. Post-transplant application is important to keep crops healthy and vigorous in the early stages of growth. In the case of heavy infestations, shorten the application intervals and use the maximum dose. Tomatoes, aubergines, peppers, courgettes, onions, etc.: use TEQUIL 5 to 15 days after transplanting(*). Repeat as necessary. |
The mixture with ASSORB pH 3.0 enhances the performance of TEQUIL and improves its effectiveness In soils with pH higher than 7.0 it is recommended to associate in addition to ASSORB pH 3.0 (promoter of nutrient absorption) also FOSFO 'ZIN 3.40 + 7 Zn + 0.2 Mn (pH 2.0) (L 2/1000 m2) product with an acidifying action containing zinc (catalyst for the synthesis of tryptophan). |
